BY TELEGRAPH. REPORTED BT THE ASSOCIATED PRESS, I nussiAN-TcmKisii avak. I.atcvt Telegraphic Advices from tbe Seat of War. - London, Jnne 9. Several Turkish offi cers have been shot in consideration of losing Ardahan. The Montenegrin ac count says the Turks moved in two col umns, one going to trie relict or uoransko, and the main force, under aelim Jfasha, to Krestaz. The latter column attacked the entrenchments of General Vukvics with great gallantry,. but were repulsed, being twice driven back on reserves. The third attack was also repulsed, the Turks taking up a position opposite Krestaz where they still remained when the last courier left. In spite of this alleged third repulse of the Turks, the account proceeds to state that General Vukovics fell back on his second line of the Duga at 3 o'clock next morninjr, where lie lias- not been rmo- lested. . , It appears freni this report, which cer tainly does not unduly exaggerate the suc cess of the Turks ; that if Gen. VukovicsT position swere not actually stormed he is placed in such a position as to be obliged to abandon them. The account continues : "The Turkish loss in dead' in this en gagement were about 3,000. The dead were counted in front of the entrench ments of one Montenegrin battalion. The other Turkish column in going to Goransko was met by Gen. Socica and driven back to JIuralovitza, where it was encamped at the latest information.' As the defeat of this column would leave the rear of the Suleiman Pasha's army exposed it is probable he will attack Gen. Socica be fore moving on Gen. Vukovics again." From Vienna the news comes that Prince Nikita has sent reinforcements to the Montenegrins who were defeated at Krestaz, and that they have taken up a position at Prcrcisca Presjeka towards the end of the Duga pass, in the direction of Necsics, where probably another attempt will be made to stop Suleiman on his way to pro vision that place. But for this purpose only a portion of the forces could be spared as Turkish invasion threatens Mon tenegro from that side to which hitherto no attention seems to have been paid namely from Sienilza. The report of this 3rd diversion in favor of the Turks seems undoubtedly true being confirmed by Tur kish official bulletins and from other more reliable sources. "The Turkish journals assert that Hobart - Pasha has left Varna with the Turkish squadron to bombard Odessa. , . A dispatch to the 2fewa from Vienna states that the siege having been pro claimed in Roumania, telegrams concern ing mimary movements Henceforth will lw strmrwwl . . . tr-.. . , A Bucharest dispatch to the Times says one of the great causes of the proclama tion of the state of the siege was the un satisfactory working of Roumanian rail ways. All railway officials are now brought under subjection to the military authorities. The Times in its leading ar ticle, confirms its Paris correspondent's summary of Prince Gortschakoff 's letter to Lord Derby. A Vienna dispatch to the Telegraph says that the Russians do not intend to oc cupy the Bulgaria, but have made arrange ments for remaining at least three years in tlie village of Adrianople. The Pout says that Russian merchants in the Baltic ports are reported to be clearing the wharves and ware-houses by exporting mi gwua as iasi as possmie under appre hension of general prohibition of exporta tion. Late Reuter telegrams from .Constanti nople, dated yesterday, andiErzeroum .flated the sixth inst. contain the following: .Montenegrins are canonading Spuz. " The Russian force from Ardahan has reached Ardanudsch. The Governor and four battalions of the garrison of Arda Imu have reached Erzeroum. The Gov ernor will be court-martialed. ' There has been a skirmish with the ad vance of the Russian right wing near Na riman. Muhktar Pasha has sent a force to cut the communication of the Russian right and centre. There is no news from Kara. The Russians attempted to cross the Danube in force between Nekopolia and Sistova on Friday and were repulsed. ; Constantinople , June 9. A patent has just been- granted Loring Pickering, one of the editors and proprie tors of the Evening Bulletin and Morning Call newspapers of San Francisco, for a method or rapid telegraphing of fac-similes of stereotyped plates. It is claimed that by this process an entire page , of a newspaper can be transmitted by, tele graph in, from fifteen to twenty min utes delivering the copy directly from the instrument in sucu j form that , it can be handed immediately t the printers j in other words, the copy will be a substan tial reproduction of the1 Original, except that it may be given in a large-sized letter if so desired. ' The plato thus prepared is placed upon a cylinder ar ranged to revolve rapidly so as to present each successive letter to the fingers at tached to a travelling frame. As the cyl inder bearing the plate i revolves, the frame gradually advances by the opera tion of a screw, and thus each and every line is successively presenteld to the fingers or magnetic points already mentioned. Necessarily the the circuit is open when the points are passing over the, non-conducting surfacie, j but as often as the metal type presents itself to said fin gers, the circuit is closed ; and the corres ponding magnetic points or pens at the receiving station, .
